If BIBF 1120* has been approved by the regulatory authorities it will provide large benefit on the ovarian cancer patients: 60 – 70% of those women, diagnosed, newly diagnosed as ovarian cancer patients, is found on the stages of three or four, and the five-year survival rate of those stages is about 30-40% - so very, very poor prognosis this is. So, we really need some new strategies to improve the poor patients’ prognosis.
