Plk1 regulated multiple steps related to cell growth, including centrosome maturation, spindle assembly and chromosome segregation. Plk1 controls the progress of cells through mitosis, including regulation of entry into mitosos, centrosome maturation and separation, metaphase to anaphase transition, mitotic exit and cytokinesis.
