A multicentre, randomised, double-blind Phase IIb/III trial of afatinib* (compound code BIBW 2992) plus best supportive care (BSC) versus BSC in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who have progressed after chemotherapy and erlotinib or gefitinib.
* Afatinib (compound code BIBW 2992) is an investigational agent and not approved for the treatment of NSCLC, its efficacy and safety have not been established.
