Lung cancer is the most common cancer in the world, with 1.61 million new cases annually.1
More than two-thirds of lung cancers are diagnosed at a late stage, when the cancer has spread to other parts of the body meaning curative treatment is not possible. Whilst there have been advances in diagnosis and treatment, unfortunately only 7% of lung cancer patients survive for at least five years after diagnosis.2 Early diagnosis helps to ensure better outcomes.
