Mutation detection with Quantitative Real Time PCR (Q-PCR)

Boehringer Ingelheim

Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction, or Q-PCR, is a valuable tool for detecting specific gene sequences within a patient’s tumor sample, including mutations in key oncogenes.1,2

The expanded use of technologies such as Q-PCR, at both local and centralized laboratories, can be instrumental in the implementation of personalized medicine strategies.4,5
