The international media webcast, ‘The second generation: Revealing the next chapter in the evolution of lung cancer care’, was filmed in September 2007 in conjunction with the 12th World Conference on Lung Cancer in Korea. The webcast focuses on the most common form of cancer, lung cancer, and experts in this field, including Dr Pasi Jänne and Dr James Spicer, discuss the significance of personalised targeted therapies for this disease area. In addition, Dr Gerd Munzert provides an update on the status of Boehringer Ingelheim’s expanding oncology portfolio and announces the initiation of the first phase III pivotal study in lung cancer investigating their oncology compound, BIBW 2992.
